Flying Monkeys

Circle Jerks.

Fly, my pretties, fly!”

A favorite tactic of narcissists is bullying by proxy.
Instead of attacking directly, they recruit a team of flying monkeys.
These little primates take turns doing and saying obnoxious things, in an effort to make a target come undone. Because so many hands are involved, a target can never lodge a complaint. If they tried, it would sound ridiculous, since they would be pointing their finger  at so many people. Anybody who heard this would assume they were the ones with a personality disorder, instead of taking a good look at the real culprit.

Its like a picture hologram card. Now you see it, now you don't. I was boiling our new baby granddaughter's baby bottles just the other day. When my daughter came to pick her up, she noticed the bottles were all rusty, and the baby was drinking out of them. I washed and sterilized those bottles, and they were covered in rust. My point is, I didn't notice this until my daughter pointed it out. Our water system is failing. Not sure if this is a good analogy, but I didn't see the rust, till it was pointed out to me.

Its almost hard to see it. But if someone points it out, it should be looked at, analyzed, otherwise you don't care about the persons opinion or feelings. I could almost not see the rust, but when I looked at the bottles again they were covered in rust. It was weird, good flying monkey analogy.

I was doing my daily you tube meandering and every where you look everyone is discussing their feelings and what those feeling mean and how did you arrive at this school of thought. I should have put cable TV in my mothers casket and her spinning would light up all of Dallas. She hated feelings ...yours and anybody else's. I draw the line at clips of kids reacting to clips of other kids reacting to horror movies. I guess in a way my mother gave me some tender mercy's when she gave me money to buy candy so she could bang a guy and me getting lost for a while.

I've heard the phrase "circle jerk" applied to office politics, and guess it would apply to how dysfunctional families" operate. Interesting analogy with the rust bottles, many do not want to LOOK too close, I know you were just busy and distracted as far as the water goes but many want to believe in the veneer of the family just like they want to believe in truth, justice and the American way..[a fantasy world of no corruption] When you don't have feelings it's easier to keep pretending I guess.

It was a slow news day and a chance to put up some artwork from the old National Lampoon. I wish they were still around. I waited patiently for each new issue. I couldn't get enough.

Peep....if you get a chance to see the movie "The Giver" you should. It's about a future society that had evolved beyond feelings and pesky things like emotions. But they traded off their humanity for rules of order and this movie is about getting it all back.
